About

This is an open forum of ideas and thoughts coming out of Firehouse 2 in Miami-Dade County.  The focus will be on training, and any unusual, dangerous, or noteworthy item we find out there during our tour.   The ideas and thoughts put forth in this blog in no way reflect the opinions or attitudes of MDFR or any of the administration.  It is just an informal way to share ideas among brothers.

The comments page is always open and I encourage anything you have to say constructive criticism or otherwise as long as it is not negative about any fire department, mine or anyone elses.

If there is anything you would like to contribute to the blog, e-mail me with the pic or article idea and I will post it.  I welcome all submissions from anyone, anywhere.

I want to add a comment. I want to memorialize fellow Fireman Pete McLaughlin the “Sniper” from Rescue Co. 4 in Queens Blvd in Queens, NY. Yesterday was his 14th anniversary since he passed.
